Game 13
April 29, 2007 This was our 6th loss in a row with only 2 games left in the season. I don't think I need to comment on this game.
Game 12
April 15, 2007 Even though we outnumbered them 11 to 7 they seemed to have a lot more jump and were beating us to the puck the whole game. All in all a rather poorly played game by everyone including myself, who got undressed on defence at least twice if not 3 times. Here's hoping that we can pull out a few more victories before the playoffs.
Game 11
April 1, 2007 Injuries are beginning to take their toll on our team as we have had 4 regulars out of the lineup for the last three weeks with a variety of back, stomach and foot injuries. Vacations are also taking a toll as two were out last week out of town. We did the best we could with the help of Fred and Bones but came up real short with only 2 natural defencemen and two forwards filling in on defence.
Game 10
March 25, 2007 This was a game we needed to win to stop our current losing streak, unfortunately only 9 skaters could show up which included 4 defencemen and our 2 top scorers. We did the best we could holding them to only 2 goals but just could not get any shots on their goal and mustering very little offence.
Game 9 March
18, 2007 This was probably our worst game this season as none of our passes connected, we gave away the puck more then we received it and we played lousy positional hockey. All in all a truly ugly game that we needed to get out of our system.
Game 8 March
4, 2007 Considering that the Griffins are undefeated and that they do not have a single player who cannot skate we did pretty good tying the game and getting them to a shootout. Unfortunately we lost in the shootout but we scored 2 goals in the last 5 minutes to tie the score and never gave up.
Game 7
February 25, 2007 Once again we only had 3 defencemen as 6 regular players did not attend the game. Luckily Fred was available as well as an old friend and Beaver alumni Brian "Bones" Roy. If I do say myself I think the defence did a magnificent job of getting the puck off their attacking forwards and the back checking forwards helped tremendously.
Game 6
February 18, 2007 Joe earned his first shutout playing a great heads up game behind only 3 defencemen. The forwards earned their stripes with some great forechecking and backchecking.
Game 5
February 11, 2007 We played as well as any other game but despite out shooting the Aeros 36 to 21 we could only capitalize on 2. The referees had a big hand in this game giving us 9 penalties to their 4. It appears the referees have it in for us as we have gotten 21 penalties vs. 7 for our opponents
Game 4
January 28, 2007 Once again we had a hard time against a slightly lesser opponent. Not to say they did not play well as they did but we should have had more offence against them and had to win in a massive overtime shootout. It took 13 shooters before a winner was declared with Mark scoring the deciding goal.
Game 3
January 21, 2007 Despite the fact that we were down 3 players and only had 3 defencemen the whole game, we did fairly well. While our passing was a little off our defence was superb and we managed to kill 4 penalties including one 4 minute stretch.
Game 2
January 14,
2007 Another good passing games, it appears that playing sound positional hockey is paying off.
Game 1 January 7, 2007 When DTS scored two goals in the first three minutes I was anticipating a very different game, but we managed to get our legs back under us and scored 7 straight goals to seal the game. Once again we had a great passing game and a very good game in the offensive zone. Still need some work in the defensive zone. |
